GuideTrack
Fevzi guides tours in Cappadocia. He moved the tour income and expenses he kept in Excel into a financial app he built himself.
Fevzi works as a tour guide in Cappadocia. Day rates, agency commissions, tips and receivables nobody had collected yet all lived in a single Excel file that had been growing for years. Working out what he had actually earned from which tour was something he could only do at the end of the month, and only by spending hours on it.
In the workshop he built GuideTrack: a balance screen that puts the income and expenses of every tour on one page, a calendar that blocks date clashes, agency records, and tracking for fixed costs such as rent and social-security premiums. He added sign-in with Google and report output in PDF and Excel.
Closing the month now takes minutes, and he can see at a glance which agency still owes him what.
